Boozhoo - I want to assure you that I only have 4 more of these class flyers to share with you and then we will get back to chatting about life. I am excited about offering these basket making classes. I love combining practical utilitarian skills with working with the spirits of the plant people. Knowing about the materials you work with allows a depth of understanding and an appreciation of the synergy that evolves when our creative muses combine with the natural characteristics of the material we work with and also the over-riding spirit of “baskets”. We can take this relationship as deep as you wish. Our goal is to introduce you to the plants, the techniques involved in working with the plants and holding space for you to make your own relationship with the spirits of the plants.

David has been making baskets for decades and does beautiful work. I am a relative newcomer but I am here to tell you that there is a beauty and whimsy in making your first baskets. The imperfections are endearing. We can introduce you to techniques but the ultimate teachers for basket making are the baskets themselves. This will be an ongoing relationship as are all worthwhile things in life. Hope to see you.
